ASVAB BASICS. I had compared reviews for the different ASVAB study guides to see which had the critcs. I have my GED, so when I tried for admission to the United States Navy, I had to make at least a 50% or above. I started studying this book about 3 weeks before the test, and I studied about 3 or 4 hours a day. I have a worst time in Math, so I spent most of my time on that subject. I went to take my test and my score came back a 43%. That was my second time taking the test. The first one was a 47%. The explainations for the questions after are more complicated. it was hard for me to understand what they were talking about, and where certain numbers had come from.
ASVAB BASICS. It's a good book. It has a lot of valuable information in it and no doubt will help me on the ASVAB.
Decent Book. My kids are studying for military test and they have found it helpful so far.
THIS BOOK IS 10 YEARS OLD!!!!!. This book is NOT worth any amount of money--zero, nada, zilch. It is GROSSLY out of date, and the sections/questions that are still on the ASVAB are absolutely nothing to write home about. The math questions are shaky and the explanations are hard to comprehend. You could tell that a know-nothing wrote this from the cover. It shows the rank insignia for a First Sergeant (E-8), which is the second-highest enlisted rank--not very appropriate for a book to help people qualify to enter the military on the bottom rung! AND...they show it upside down! Not credible at all, and the book matches.
ASVAB success. My son took the ASVAB after only studing from ASVAB for Dummies and scored a 45 but needed a 50 to get into the Air Force. I ordered these books and when he took the test the next time, he scored a 75. Now he has to retake the ASVAB because his score "improved too much". These books were great. Thanks.
